Come join us for “A Night In Abruzzo” presented by Chef Robbie Felice and the Marcelli Family. During this event, the Marcelli family and Chef Robbie will be taking you on a journey throughout the region of Abruzzo. Chef Robbie and the Marcelli family have built a special bond since the opening of his first restaurant Viaggio where the Marcelli’s happened to stop by and to enjoy an exceptional meal.
From that point on they have created a new concept that best reflects itself as farm to fork; or Italy to New Jersey. Chef will be preparing traditional dishes from the region of Abruzzo using products imported from the very region by the Marcelli Family.
Bob, Emily, Andy, And Tina Marcelli will be in the house showcasing products they have been importing since 2007. Their relatives in Italy have specialized in producing raw milk cheese in Anversa Degli Abruzzi since 1977.
Since then, the Marcelli family has expanded by specializing in the production of hard pasta, artisanal cheeses, and the finest olive oils. The products they have are not just products placed in bags, bottles, and jars.
Instead, they are products that come from small families who embrace and celebrate centuries of tradition, ancient knowledge, hard work and dedication. They specifically import exceptional award-winning organic cheese, which is made by their ancestral family in the small mountain village of Anversa Degli Abruzzi, which has a population of 300.
They also import other specialty products from the same village and area, such as extra virgin olive oil from 1000-year-old orchards, savory mountain honey, pasta, and the saffron of L’Aquila. All of these products are EU certified organic and are made by small family producers.
